RALEIGH, N.C. — Ralliant Corporation, a global technology company specializing in precision technologies, will establish its headquarters in Wake County, North Carolina, creating 180 new jobs, according to an announcement by Gov. Josh Stein’s office on Tuesday.
The company plans to invest $2.1 million in the North Hills area of Raleigh. Ralliant is anticipated to become an independent public company following its separation from Fortive Corporation by the third quarter of 2025.
“Raleigh is an ideal location with its strong high-tech research presence, top universities, skilled workforce, and proximity to our operating companies,” said Ralliant President and CEO Tami Newcombe in a statement. “We are excited to build our future here, driving breakthroughs, empowering progress, and shaping what’s next.”
Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley also issued a statement: “Ralliant’s decision to establish its headquarters in Raleigh reflects the city’s dynamic economy, highly skilled talent pool, and outstanding quality of life. Our state’s strengths in data analytics and IT product development, along with our world-class universities and research institutions, provide the deep pool of talent companies need to succeed.”
The new positions will offer an average salary of $189,479, significantly higher than Wake County’s average wage of $76,643. This expansion is projected to generate an annual payroll impact exceeding $30 million per year, as reported by the governor’s office.
A Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG) is being utilized to facilitate the project, potentially reimbursing Ralliant up to $2.63 million over a period of 12 years. The state anticipates the project will stimulate economic growth, estimating an increase of more than $975 million in the state’s economy over the grant’s duration.
The governor’s office has calculated a projected return on investment of 195 percent for the public funds, with the state receiving $2.95 in state revenue for every dollar of potential cost. The JDIG agreement also includes the transfer of $876,750 to the state’s Industrial Development Fund, supporting critical infrastructure improvements in rural communities to encourage future business.
“We’re excited to see a sophisticated technology company like Ralliant select Raleigh and Wake County for their world headquarters,” stated State Sen. Jay Chaudhuri. “Their confidence in our region is well founded and we look forward to seeing their company put down roots and grow in the Research Triangle area.”
State Rep. Tim Longest added, “I’d like to thank the many local, regional, and state economic development organizations that worked together to support Ralliant while they evaluated our area. Companies appreciate seeing this level of collaboration, which will continue as the company takes the next steps in establishing its headquarters in Raleigh.”
