For example, a user could upload a PDF of a soccer schedule, and Alexa+ could then access and reference this information in response to voice prompts. “Alexa, when is my daughter’s soccer game this weekend?” should provide an accurate answer.
In a demo, a presenter uploaded a lengthy homeowner’s association rules document and was able to get quick answers to questions about regulations avoiding manually searching through pages.
Personalized Music and Movie Recommendations
If you are trying to find a song or movie you only vaguely remember, Alexa+ can step in to help. The system excels at identifying media based on fragmented details. For example, a presenter was able to call up the song “Shallow” from the most recent production of “A Star is Born” by using a simple vocal prompt recalling characteristics of the tune. Another presenter got a list of artists that sample Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight.” The demo with “A Star Is Born” also showcased a scene selection feature by instantly loading the movie to the requested scene in Amazon Prime Video.
An Interesting New Addition: Children’s Services
Alexa offers to generate bedtime stories using voice prompts and AI-generated art. One question that came to mind is if children’s services are a good idea or if they are a step too far.
