Hedera, Accenture, and EQTY Lab Forge New Alliance for Transparent AI Governance
The Hedera Foundation has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with Accenture and EQTY Lab to equip governments with concrete tools for verifiable AI governance, leveraging decentralized and tamper-proof technologies. This ambitious project, officially presented on June 11, 2025, in Washington D.C., brings together the technological prowess of three key players: the Hedera Foundation, promoter of the Hedera open-source public network; Accenture, a global giant in consulting and digital innovation; and EQTY Lab, a technology lab specializing in creating solutions for verifiable trust in AI.
The Need for Trust in AI and Autonomous Agents
According to Bryan Rich, Senior Managing Director and Global AI Lead at Accenture, the adoption of AI in the public sector is accelerating, driven by the desire for large-scale impacts. However, this change also entails a growing demand for control, reliability, and transparency. “The combination of these technologies not only enhances operational governance but positions the Hedera network as a fundamental platform for scaling AI responsibly,” stated Rich.

Verifiable Governance Modules: The Heart of the Project
One of the central elements of the initiative is the development, by Accenture, of a reference and pricing model to make verifiable governance modules based on Hedera accessible and integrable into ERP systems and digital platforms of the public sector. These modules, developed in collaboration with EQTY Lab technology, will initially be tested in selected AI and machine learning applications.
Hedera Technologies at the Service of Transparency
The Hedera network provides two key tools for this initiative: the Hedera Consensus Service (HCS) and the Hedera Token Service (HTS). These technologies allow for the creation of an immutable record of AI decisions and actions, ensuring data integrity even in distributed digital environments.
A Future of Responsible and Transparent AI
The initiative launched by Hedera Foundation, Accenture, and EQTY Lab marks a crucial moment for the evolution of AI in the public sector. In an increasingly automated world, the ability to ensure verifiable governance and data integrity is not just a competitive advantage, but an ethical and institutional necessity. Thanks to this collaboration, governments will have concrete tools to adopt artificial intelligence in a responsible, safe, and transparent manner.
