Honeywell India Hosts Inaugural ‘LeadHERS in Tech’ Event, Promoting Women’s Leadership in Tech
Bengaluru, India – Honeywell recently hosted its flagship event, ‘LeadHERS in Tech,’ at its Bengaluru campus. The event drew over 200 accomplished women professionals from across the technology industry, highlighting their contributions and fostering a more inclusive future.
The full-day event focused on breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for women to lead in technology, driving innovation and industry transformation. The event featured discussions, speeches, and networking opportunities designed to inspire and empower women in tech.
Anant Maheshwari, President & CEO of Global Regions at Honeywell, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the need for diverse voices in shaping the future of technology. He highlighted the crucial role women play in driving innovations and called for greater empowerment of women leaders. Maheshwari cited initiatives like ‘LeadHERS in Tech’ as platforms for women to shape the future of technology.
The event also included a fireside chat between Ashish Modi, President of Honeywell India, and Niranjan Kalyandurg, President of Honeywell Technology Solutions. They discussed the importance of male allyship in fostering an inclusive workplace. The leaders also addressed the importance of sponsorship, mitigating gender biases, and the need for training to overcome unconscious blind spots. Their closing call to action urged women to be bold and actively shape the future of technology.
A highlight of the day was a panel discussion titled “Breaking Barriers in Tech: Stories of Resilience and Innovation.” Panelists included Latha Chemrakalam, Vice President at Continental; Sidharth Balachandran, Head of the AirBus Innovation Centre; Ashwini Siddhi, AI Head at GoDaddy; and Sumedha Limaye, VP of Engineering at Quest Global. They discussed how women are changing the tech landscape through innovation and challenging the status quo.
Inspirational talks were also delivered by Vandana Suri, founder of TAXSHE, a women-only taxi service, and Nisha Millet, a former Olympic swimmer. Both speakers shared their experiences of perseverance and success.

The event further highlighted the ‘InnovateHER contest’ showcasing women’s tech-driven solutions to real-world challenges. Participants also attended specialized masterclasses and toured the Honeywell Experience Center to learn about the company’s innovations in aviation, automation, and energy transition, and its diversity and inclusion initiatives.
