Honeywell Hosts ‘LeadHERS in Tech’ Event, Empowering Women Leaders in the Tech Industry
Bengaluru, Karnataka – March 22, 2025 – Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) recently hosted its flagship event, ‘LeadHERS in Tech,’ at its Bengaluru campus. The event brought together over 200 accomplished women professionals from various sectors within the technology industry. The day-long gathering served as a platform for innovators, thought leaders, and changemakers to spotlight the significant contributions of women in technology and to foster a future where women drive innovation.

Anant Maheshwari, President & CEO of Global Regions at Honeywell, delivered a keynote address. He emphasized the importance of diverse perspectives in shaping the future of technology. He underscored that women in tech are crucial not only for current advancements but also for future innovations. Maheshwari called for greater empowerment of women in leadership roles and highlighted the role of initiatives like ‘LeadHERS in Tech’ in creating opportunities for women to influence the future of technology.
The event also featured a fireside chat with Ashish Modi, President of Honeywell India, and Niranjan Kalyandurg, President of Honeywell Technology Solutions. They discussed the vital role of male allyship in establishing inclusive workplaces and the significance of sponsorship in advancing women’s careers. The leaders addressed gender biases and emphasized the importance of training to overcome unconscious biases. They concluded the discussion by encouraging women to be bold, vocal, and proactive in shaping the future of technology.
A major highlight of the day was a panel discussion titled “Breaking Barriers in Tech: Stories of Resilience and Innovation.” The panel included industry leaders like Latha Chemrakalam, Vice President at Continental; Sidharth Balachandran, Head of the AirBus Innovation Centre; Ashwini Siddhi, AI Head at GoDaddy; and Sumedha Limaye, VP of Engineering at Quest Global. Their conversation highlighted how women are challenging norms and transforming the technological landscape with their innovative approaches.
Inspirational talks were also delivered by Vandana Suri, founder of TAXSHE, an India-based women-only taxi service, and Nisha Millet, a former Olympic swimmer, who shared their journeys of perseverance and success.

The ‘InnovateHER contest’ was also a key feature, where teams of women presented tech-driven solutions to real-world challenges. Attendees also participated in specialized masterclasses and toured the Honeywell Experience Center.
