Harold T. Respass, Principal Technical Infrastructure Programme Manager for Just Walk Out, shared the news on LinkedIn, stating, “I’ve officially led the launch of my 50th retail store powered by Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology: Hudson Nonstop Colorado Springs! (COS).”
Respass further noted that this opening represents the 18th Hudson Nonstop store, and he’s been involved in the launch of 16 of them. In his role as an Implementation Manager, he oversees the end-to-end project management for third-party retailers integrating this technology.
“From initial planning to final execution, I work closely with our customers to integrate Just Walk Out into their operations, creating frictionless, innovative shopping experiences for travelers and shoppers alike,” Respass explained. He also commented on the challenges and rewards of the work, highlighting the collaborative effort and the satisfaction of seeing a store successfully implement the technology.
This development reflects the continuing evolution of checkout-free retail experiences. These stores, allowing customers to purchase items without traditional checkout lines, are becoming increasingly common, streamlining the shopping process, particularly for busy travelers.
