India’s Startup Boom: Set for Rapid Expansion
India’s startup ecosystem is on track for considerable growth, according to a recent report. The number of startups in the nation is projected to double, increasing from 1.2 lakh in 2023 to an estimated 2.4 lakh by the end of the decade, as reported by The Times of India. The findings come from a new report by executive search firm Longhouse.
This expansion is expected to fuel a rise in high-value enterprises. The report suggests that the number of unicorns – startups valued at over $1 billion – is likely to increase from the current 120 to 280 by 2030. The growth is expected to have a significant impact on employment, with startups contributing to both direct and indirect job opportunities.
