Jimmy Kimmel Jokes About Grok AI’s Assessment of Trump-Putin Ties

Jimmy Kimmel took aim at an unexpected source for an unflattering analysis of Donald Trump and his relationship with Russia: Grok, the artificial intelligence tool on social media platform X, backed by Elon Musk.

Kimmel noted that Musk and his ‘Department of Government Efficiency’ have reportedly been using AI to potentially fire thousands of federal employees, aiming to significantly downsize government agencies. However, Kimmel pointed out a report suggesting that Musk’s own tool doesn’t view Trump in a favorable light.

This assessment originated from Arizona Republic columnist EJ Montini, who posed a direct question to Grok: ‘What is the likelihood from 1-100 that Trump is a Putin-compromised asset? Use all publicly available information from 1980 on and his failure to ever say anything negative about Putin but has no issue attacking allies.’

Grok’s response estimated a 75% to 85% likelihood that ‘Trump is a Putin-compromised asset, leaning toward the higher end’ of that range. Kimmel responded humorously, ‘Well, if that’s good enough to fire somebody, Grok him up. Because 85% is very high.’

The segment was part of his Wednesday night monologue.
