    Johnson Health Tech North America Recalls Matrix-Brand Training Cycles Due to Fall Hazard

    Matrix-Brand Training Cycle Recall Announced

    Johnson Health Tech North America is recalling specific Matrix-brand training cycles because of a potential fall hazard. The adjustable seat on these cycles can unexpectedly drop during use, which could cause the rider to fall.

    Recalled Models and Serial Numbers

    The recall affects the following Matrix-brand training cycle models:

    • CXC-02
    • CXM-02
    • CXM-03
    • CXP-03
    • CXV

    The location of the serial number is on the lower rear area of the cycle frame. This model is equipped with with adjustable saddles and handlebars, an aluminum rear flywheel, and a magnetic resistance system. The frames are matte black steel with forged steel cranks, dual-sided SPD pedals, four leveling feet and two transport wheels. The word “Matrix” is printed on the side.

    Recalled cycles have a serial number that includes the following serial prefixes: FC32, ZFC32B, FC33, FC36, FC29D, or FC27.

    Example serial numbers include:

    • CXC-02 (FC32): FC32210900001
    • CXC-02 (ZFC32): ZFC32B240600001
    • CXM-02 (FC33): FC33210800001

    Incident Reports

    Johnson Health Tech North America has received a total of 63 reports of the seat unexpectedly lowering, two of which resulted in falls. No injuries have been reported.

    What Consumers Should Do

    Consumers who own the recalled training cycles should immediately stop using them and contact Johnson Health Tech North America to arrange for a free repair. A service technician will install a repair kit.

    Where the Cycles Were Sold

    The recalled cycles were sold primarily to commercial fitness facilities, both directly by JHTNA and through third-party distributors, between January 2021 and October 2024. The price ranged from $2,530 to $7,305.

    • Units: Approximately 12,885 were sold in the U.S. An additional 140 were sold in Canada.
