Kindle Colorsoft is 20 Percent Off in Amazon Spring Sale
The Kindle Colorsoft, Amazon’s e-reader offering a color screen, is currently on sale for $225 as part of the Amazon Spring Sale. This represents a 20 percent discount from its typical price of $280. The deal also includes three months of Kindle Unlimited, which provides access to a wide selection of reading materials.
In a previous review, Engadget praised the Colorsoft, calling it the “missing link in Amazon’s e-reader lineup.” The standout feature is, of course, the color screen, a first for the Kindle line. Amazon reportedly took its time releasing a color model until the technology was sufficiently advanced.
The result is vibrant color display, making it suitable for comic books and graphic novels. It includes a pinch-to-zoom feature for detailed viewing and an auto-adjusting front light. Like many modern Kindles, page turns are quick with minimal lag, and the device is waterproof, adding versatility for reading in various environments. A notable advantage of this model is the absence of lock screen ads, a standard feature on other Kindles. While the original price of $280 was a bit pricey, the $225 sale price makes the Colorsoft a more compelling offering.
