Kochi Entrepreneur’s AI Startup Recognized on Enterprise Tech 30
A startup founded by a Malayali entrepreneur has earned a spot on this year’s prestigious Enterprise Tech 30 list, a ranking of leading private companies in the enterprise technology sector.
Ashwin Sreenivas, originally from Kochi, Kerala, co-founded Decagon in 2023 alongside American entrepreneur Jesse Zhang.. The AI-powered customer support platform secured the second position in the mid-sized companies category, a significant achievement for the startup, which has already raised approximately Rs 850 crore in funding.

Ashwin Sreenivas, co-founder of Decagon, is a native of Kochi, Kerala.
Ashwin is the son of Sreenivasan Krishnan, a former AICC leader, and Dr. Preethi Srinivas, who heads the English Department at St Teresa’s College, Ernakulam.
This recognition highlights the growing prominence of Indian-led innovation on a global scale and specifically acknowledges a Kerala-born entrepreneur’s success in the competitive tech industry.
