Lenovo Introduces Expansive Hybrid AI Portfolio at Tech World Event
SEATTLE, WA – October 15, 2024 – Lenovo has unveiled its latest advancements in artificial intelligence at the annual Tech World innovation event, held in Seattle, Washington. The company presented a comprehensive suite of AI solutions, services, and devices designed to drive transformations and provide tangible returns on investment for businesses, organizations, and individuals worldwide.
Building on the strategy announced last year, Lenovo continues to focus on hybrid AI as the future. This approach integrates public and private clouds with individual and enterprise solutions for seamless and secure operations. Major announcements included the introduction of Lenovo Hybrid AI Advantage for enterprises; the latest ThinkPad X1 Gen 10 Aura Edition AI laptop; the Lenovo AI Now local AI agent; and the Lenovo Learning Zone educational software platform. Also announced was the next generation of Lenovo Neptune liquid cooling solutions and several proofs of concept demonstrating AI’s potential for social good.
Lenovo’s Chairman and CEO, Yuanqing Yang, emphasized that the company’s expertise, combined with its infrastructure and interconnected ecosystem, is reimagining workflows, promoting creativity, and transforming unstructured data into actionable information.

During a keynote presentation, Yuanqing Yang introduced Lenovo Hybrid AI Advantage, developed in partnership with NVIDIA. This offering is designed to empower businesses to quickly translate intelligence into practical outcomes. This Lenovo Hybrid AI Advantage leverages collaboration across the full-stack AI portfolio. The framework includes the new Lenovo AI Library, offering readily deployable AI templates across various industries, including marketing, IT operations, product development, and customer service.
Lenovo Neptune Water Cooling: Powering AI Efficiently
Lenovo’s ongoing commitment to secure, efficient hybrid infrastructure includes a focus on sustainable high-performance computing. The new family of ThinkSystem solutions offer up to 100% heat removal, optimizing efficiency for the NVIDIA Blackwell platform and NVIDIA GB200. The sixth generation of Neptune liquid cooling systems is slated for rollout across the partner network, helping organizations build and run accelerated computing for generative AI while lowering data center power consumption by up to 40%.
Personalized, Productive, and Protected AI Devices and Solutions
Lenovo’s extensive portfolio offers a wide range of hybrid AI capabilities, from PCs, smartphones, and tablets to servers, storage, and cloud solutions. AI integration is designed to provide hyper-personalization, enhanced productivity, and rigorous data protection. Lenovo revealed the next generation of personal AI devices, including the Lenovo AI Now local AI agent designed to transform PCs, the AI-integrated ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition AI laptop, and the Lenovo Learning Zone AI-powered educational software platform.
Additional proofs of concept include the “Lenovo AI Buddy,” a visual interactive module, alongside advanced demos of Workstation AI and ThinkShield AI PC security solutions.
Motorola also announced the beta testing of new moto ai features, with plans to broaden availability through the end of the year. These features will streamline smartphone use with on-demand summaries of communications, automatic identification of action items, and AI-generated information based on captured content.
Human-Centric Development and AI for Good
Lenovo showcased new technologies and proofs of concept focused on enhancing human capabilities and improving lives. “We innovate without compromising our values and commitment to serving our diverse communities,” stated Doug Fisher, Lenovo’s Chief Security and AI Officer. “We combine security and AI at every moment, and we evaluate all of Lenovo’s AI initiatives to ensure we’re accelerating into a future that prioritizes privacy, transparency, and responsibility.”
Lenovo launched Alzheimer’s Intelligence, an avatar companion for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, using curated data to provide support. This builds on Lenovo’s Work For Humankind initiative that showcases how smarter technology can achieve social good. In addition, Yuanqing Yang presented a new AI-powered communication solution for individuals with ALS, which leverages AI avatars, eye-tracking technology, and predictive LLMs.
Furthermore, alongside InCor, the largest cardiac hospital in Latin America, Lenovo announced a clinical-grade arrhythmia detection platform using a small, wearable IoT device for real-time monitoring.
