Lenovo has revealed new laptops featuring generative AI capabilities at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC), including the Yoga Pro 9i Aura edition and the IdeaPad Slim 3x.
The Yoga Pro 9i Aura edition marks a collaboration between Lenovo and Intel, designed to enhance the user experience through a suite of “distinct software, hardware and AI features.” This collaboration aims to create a more personalized, productive, and secure computing environment.
Equipped with the Intel Core Ultra processor and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, Lenovo’s most affordable RTX 50 series model, the Yoga Pro 9i Aura edition boasts a 16-inch 3.2K PureSight Pro display. This display features a dual-layer OLED pixel structure, boosting peak brightness to 1600 nits and improving power efficiency. The display also provides accurate color representation, supporting 100 percent sRGB, P3, and Adobe RGB color gamuts.
Like its predecessors, the Aura edition incorporates Lenovo Creator Zone, an AI-powered software suite designed to simplify the use of third-party creative applications for video, photo, and music editing. The Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition is slated for release in the second quarter of 2025, with a starting price of $1,799.
Lenovo has also introduced the 15-inch IdeaPad Slim 3x, a Copilot+ PC powered by the Snapdragon X chip, Qualcomm’s latest platform. The goal is to make Copilot+ PCs more accessible. The IdeaPad Slim 3x supports on-device AI processing and includes a dedicated key for Microsoft’s Copilot assistant. Another interesting feature is an open SSD slot, providing users with the option to expand storage capacity. The IdeaPad Slim 3x is expected to be available this month, with prices starting at $649.
