Wales Tech Sector to Showcase Innovation to London Investors
A significant event bringing together London-based investors and tech executives is set to take place next month at The Shard. Organised by Welsh innovation hub Tramshed Tech, the event on June 12th will highlight investment opportunities in the Welsh tech sector. The gathering is expected to feature an opening address from David Stevens, co-founder and former CEO of Admiral Group.

A panel discussion will include key decision-makers actively promoting collaboration and investment in Wales. The panellists will comprise Chris Skinner from Barclays Eagle Labs, Jessica Phillips-Harris from the British Business Bank, and John Cordrey from Foresight Group, which manages the £50m equity fund element of the British Business Bank’s £130m Wales Investment Fund.
One of the event’s highlights will be Jack Joseph Williams, founder of iTero Gaming, who will share his firsthand experience of building a successful tech company in Wales. Williams, a former financial analyst, developed an AI-powered coaching platform for League of Legends players from his cottage in Cardigan. After participating in Tramshed Tech’s innovation programme, iTero Gaming caught the attention of global esports organisation GiantX, resulting in a multi-million-pound acquisition.
Chris Skinner commented, “Through our partnership with Tramshed Tech, I’ve witnessed firsthand the quality of innovation happening outside London. This event at The Shard is a perfect opportunity for London-based investors to connect with the exceptional talent and opportunities emerging from the Welsh tech ecosystem.”
Louise Harris, co-founder and CEO of Tramshed Tech, added, “This high-profile event represents more than networking; it’s about unlocking capital flows westward to fuel the exceptional growth opportunities emerging from Wales. By connecting forward-thinking London-based corporations and investors with Welsh innovation, we’re strengthening the entire UK tech sector.”
