Marvell Technology, Inc. (MRVL) received a vote of confidence from ‘Mad Money’ host Jim Cramer during his Lightning Round segment. Cramer stated, “I think Marvell is right to be bought here,” marking his second recommendation for the stock within a month. The first highlight was in March when he cited the company’s AI partnership with Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN).
The chip designer and manufacturer for data infrastructure has seen its stock value increase by 19% in the last 30 days. This surge is attributed to positive quarterly results from Big Tech companies such as Meta Platforms, Inc. (META) and Microsoft Corp. (MSFT), as well as a temporary truce between Washington and Beijing regarding tariffs. The new deal will reduce U.S. levies on most Chinese imports from 145% to 30%, while China’s duties on U.S. goods will drop from 125% to 10% for 90 days.
JPMorgan analyst Harlan Sur noted that Microsoft’s Maia AI ASIC chip program for Gen 2 is likely to be Marvell’s largest AI accelerator ASIC opportunity over the next few years. The analyst confirmed that Marvell’s ASIC programs at Microsoft and Amazon Web Services are progressing well without any loss in program share.
According to Sur, Marvell is on track to drive $4 billion in AI revenues by 2025, supported by ASICs and networking. This represents a more than twofold increase and indicates a strong growth profile into 2026.
Despite a 35% stock plunge in the last six months following its exit from the auto space, Marvell is now focused on AI and accelerated computing. The company’s restructuring in the October quarter marked a shift away from enterprise networking, carrier infrastructure, and automotive investments.
As of the last check on Thursday, MRVL stock was down 0.37% at $59.89 in premarket trading.
