SANTA CLARA — In a move that signifies growth and investment, medical technology company EBR Systems has secured a lease for office space in Santa Clara, solidifying its expansion plans. The company, known for developing innovative wireless cardiac pacing equipment has chosen 4300 Patrick Henry Drive in Santa Clara for its new offices.
Commercial real estate firms Cushman & Wakefield and Newmark, collaborating on the lease arrangement, confirmed the deal. EBR Systems is relocating from its current Sunnyvale location, according to Walt Stephenson and Jeff Cushman of Cushman & Wakefield, alongside Greg Tippin and Tracey Solari of Newmark.
The new Santa Clara office will encompass 51,100 square feet, as stated by the brokers involved. The building is owned by Drawbridge Realty, a seasoned real estate firm. “The move represents a sizeable expansion for the company,” Cushman & Wakefield noted.
This leasing transaction reflects a potential shift towards recovery in the South Bay office market. The office markets in San Francisco and Oakland are currently experiencing more significant challenges than in Silicon Valley.
EBR Systems currently occupies a 30,800-square-foot building in Sunnyvale, as indicated by the LoopNet commercial property database and Google Maps. The company anticipates moving into its updated Santa Clara premises during the first half of 2026. Cushman & Wakefield highlighted that the new building has recently undergone significant upgrades. “Drawbridge acquired the property in 2013 and recently completed significant interior and exterior renovations in 2024, such as a new indoor and outdoor breakroom and patio space, plus other elements focused on the employee,” said Stephenson, an executive director at Cushman & Wakefield.
EBR Systems and Drawbridge Realty are committed to further enhancements to the property, including additional workplace installations and operational adjustments, before the med-tech firm’s relocation in 2026.
EBR Systems’ mission, clearly stated on its website, centers on patient well-being: “We place the needs of patients first in everything we do.”
