Mercury has entered into a strategic partnership with Microsoft to leverage the power of cloud computing and artificial intelligence, aiming to redefine the hiring process for recruitment agencies and their clients.

Mercury’s Founder and CEO, Chris Kendrick, highlighted the need for innovation, stating, “We work in an industry that embraces technology but continues to operate the same way it always has, with lots of manual input and processes. What truly excites us about our work with Microsoft is the game-changing capabilities that bring the biggest digital disruption the staffing profession has seen in decades.”

The collaboration will enable Mercury and its agency clients to utilize Microsoft’s advanced technologies to significantly improve their ability to search, match, and hire top candidates. The integration of AI-powered tools is designed to offer substantial benefits to recruitment firms of all sizes.

Timo Lehne, CEO of SThree, a Mercury client, commented on the impact of the new platform, explaining, “Mercury’s platform, powered by Microsoft, is helping to transform operations at SThree by removing data barriers and improving collaboration across our global teams. With automated and streamlined workflows, our recruiters can focus more on personal interactions, fostering stronger relationships and delivering greater value. The combination of Mercury, Microsoft and our own platform extensions allows us to provide recommendations and insights that support and inform our decision-making, aiming for the highest service provision for our clients and candidates.”

The partnership will focus on delivering AI-driven tools focused on:

    • Increasing consultant capacity exponentially
    • Improving new business development
    • Boosting fill rates, with a significant reduction in candidate submissions

These advancements are intended to optimize the entire recruitment cycle.

Mercury’s platform, already built on Microsoft’s Power Platform, works seamlessly with other recruitment tools like LinkedIn and Microsoft Teams. Kendrick emphasized the partnership’s potential, saying, “The staffing world is ripe for an AI-powered shake-up, and our partnership with Microsoft will allow us to deliver game-changing innovations. By seamlessly blending Microsoft’s frontier AI and our deep staffing expertise, we will help recruiters amplify their capacity and effectiveness to levels previously unattainable.”
