Michael Dell: AI’s Impact is Revolutionary
During Nvidia’s GTC Conference, Michael Dell, founder of Dell Technologies Inc., shared his observations on the transformative power of artificial intelligence. Dell, reflecting on his four-decade career in technology, described AI’s impact as a “revolution.”
Dell spoke with John Furrier of theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio, at the event in San Jose. They discussed Dell’s latest announcements, the impact of AI on customers, and how Dell himself is utilizing the technology.

Dell’s AI Advancements
Dell marked the first anniversary of its Dell AI Factory with Nvidia by unveiling a new lineup of AI PCs, leveraging Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture. Dell emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation across the stack, stating, “Being able to deliver Dell AI factories will allow us to scale up tremendously.”
Dell also announced that it would be among the AI server companies using Nvidia’s Blackwell Ultra AI chip, promising significant performance gains. According to Nvidia, the new processor offers 1.5 times the performance of the Blackwell chip and could potentially increase data center revenue immensely.
Customer Interest in AI
Dell noted a rapid shift among customers from proof-of-concept to practical implementation of AI solutions. He considers AI a top priority for businesses, stating, “AI is not the only priority, it’s priority one, two and three.”
Dell himself has adopted AI tools, particularly appreciating their ability to grasp complex topics. He uses AI extensively to help run his $95 billion business. “I use it all the time for everything I’m doing,” Dell said. “Think about an infinitely patient tutor. If you like to work and you’re curious, there’s never been a better time to be alive.”
