Microsoft Unveils New AI-Powered Features for Copilot+ PCs
Microsoft has announced a range of new AI-powered features exclusive to Copilot+ PCs, enhancing user experience across various Windows applications. The updates, set to roll out to Windows Insiders in the coming months, include an innovative AI agent in the Settings app that can understand natural language prompts and adjust device configurations accordingly.

AI Agent in Windows Settings
The new AI agent, integrated into the Settings app, enables users to describe their needs using natural language, such as “how to control my PC by voice” or “my mouse pointer is too small.” The AI then suggests steps to resolve the issue or carries them out directly with user permission. Initially available to Windows Insiders on Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs, support for AMD and Intel versions will follow later.
Enhanced Features Across Windows Applications
Other significant updates include:
- Click to Do: New features such as using Ask Copilot to act on text or images, drafting content in Word with Microsoft 365 Copilot, and converting selected text into a bulleted list.
- Windows Search: Improved search functionality allowing users to find local files, specific Windows settings, and install apps from the Microsoft Store using natural language prompts.
- Photos App: The new Relight feature offers dynamic lighting controls, enabling users to place adjustable light sources, set light colors, and adjust brightness and intensity.
- Paint: Two new AI-powered features include a Sticker generator and Object select, enhancing creative capabilities.
- Snipping Tool: Updates include Perfect screenshot, Text extractor, and Color picker, improving screenshot functionality and image editing.
- Narrator: Now provides rich image descriptions, offering detailed context for visuals, aiding blind and low-vision users.
These updates are part of Microsoft’s ongoing efforts to enhance Windows 11 with AI-driven features, improving both functionality and user experience. The new features will begin rolling out to Windows Insiders, with broader availability planned for the coming months.
