Microsoft Partner Trusted Tech Helps SMBs Navigate AI Adoption
The expansive Microsoft ecosystem plays a crucial role in powering small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Channel Insider spoke with Samuel Ra, Senior Solutions Marketing Manager at Trusted Tech, a Microsoft-oriented solutions provider, to understand the current state of the channel for Microsoft partners and how AI adoption is driving demand across various sectors.
Enabling SMBs through Microsoft Offerings
Trusted Tech’s journey with its clients begins with cost optimization. The company examines each client’s licensing agreements and tech stacks to identify opportunities for consolidation and savings. “Many smaller IT teams face budget constraints and lack the expertise to handle every tech issue,” Ra explained. “We aim to help our clients achieve more with less through cost optimization and then enable them to leverage new technologies.”
The provider offers a range of services, including support for both on-premises and cloud environments. For clients still using on-premises solutions, Trusted Tech helps them make informed decisions about migrating to the cloud. As economic concerns prompt businesses to reassess their priorities, Ra noted that his team sees firms evaluating cloud solutions with a fresh perspective. However, Trusted Tech doesn’t force cloud adoption on every customer; instead, it supports various hybrid environments, allowing clients to maximize their infrastructure’s benefits in any setup.
“Our customers share their pain points with us, and we strive to deliver solutions that address those specific problems, keeping their unique needs in mind,” Ra said. This approach has been particularly valuable as businesses face changing tariff threats and economic uncertainties.
Security and Data Governance: Trends within the AI Trend
Like many partners in 2025, Trusted Tech has seen significant growth in its AI readiness and adoption services. Ra attributes this growth to increased demand for “adjacent conversations” around data management and security protocols. “The true potential of AI is realized through robust data governance and strong asset rights management,” Ra emphasized. “To get the most out of AI solutions, you need to have strong security layers in place.”
As a Microsoft partner, Trusted Tech has observed substantial interest in Copilot. However, the company doesn’t simply sell Copilot licenses without ensuring that businesses have the necessary governance plans and infrastructure in place. “We tell customers that while they may want to adopt Copilot immediately, there’s a more productive way to implement AI that can yield even greater benefits,” Ra said. “We identify gaps and needs across an organization to protect them and their customers from potential security and data issues.”
Trusted Tech’s Copilot readiness assessments have not only prepared customers technically but have also dispelled common misconceptions about AI tools. Ra noted that many organizations, regardless of their vertical, view AI tools like Copilot as simple plug-and-play solutions requiring minimal effort. In reality, implementing these tools effectively requires careful planning and execution, which Trusted Tech helps its customers navigate.
“These are complex topics that can be daunting for many of our customers. Our role is to help them succeed and, in turn, serve their own customers better,” Ra explained. As channel partners assist their customers in determining the best use cases for AI tools like Microsoft Copilot, Trusted Tech is committed to guiding organizations through the implementation process and building trust as a valued partner.
