Microsoft Rolls Out ‘Recall’ Feature to Copilot+ PCs
Microsoft has finally released its controversial ‘Recall’ feature to Copilot+ PCs, along with other AI-powered experiences. This update brings Copilot+ PCs closer to fulfilling their promise of being the fastest, smartest, and most secure Windows devices yet.
The ‘Recall’ feature, which takes screenshots to help users remember tasks done on their PC, is now available for select Windows 11 PCs. Additionally, Microsoft has introduced improved search capabilities and a ‘click-to-do’ feature, an AI-assisted writing tool that can summarize, correct, and rewrite text.

According to Navjot Virk, corporate vice president of Windows Experiences, “Windows has always been the place where computing innovation happens first.” The company claims that Copilot+ PCs deliver 13% faster performance compared to the latest MacBook Air M4 and up to five times more performance compared to a five-year-old Windows PC.
The ‘Recall’ feature is an opt-in experience that allows users to recall information they’ve previously interacted with on their PC. The ‘click-to-do’ feature can help users with writing tasks, such as summarizing content, correcting spelling and grammar, and even removing objects from images.
To access these new features, users will need to download and install the latest build of Windows 11. However, European users will have to wait a few more months to gain access.
Microsoft first introduced Copilot+ branded Windows PCs in May 2024, marketing them as “the fastest, most intelligent, and most secure Windows PCs ever built.” As of January 2025, 15% of all premium PCs sold were Copilot+ PCs, which initially started at a price point of at least $999 but have since dropped to $599.
The portfolio of Copilot+ PCs includes models powered by Snapdragon, Intel, and AMD chips. While the text action capability in ‘click-to-do’ will be limited to Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ branded PCs, other features will be available across all Copilot+ PCs regardless of their processor.
