Euro.io, a division of Switzerland-based health tech company MindMaze, is planning to develop an advanced manufacturing facility and digital therapeutics training center in Houma, Louisiana. The new campus will be located in the former Houma Courier newspaper building, which the company intends to purchase, according to local economic development officials.

MindMaze, founded in 2012 by neuroscientist Tej Tadi, specializes in creating digital therapeutics – video games designed to treat neurological damage resulting from stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and other brain conditions. The company was valued at $1.5 billion in 2021, as reported by Bloomberg. The Louisiana facility, known as BrainHUB, will be MindMaze’s first U.S. operation and will focus on advancing large-scale AI applications and brain technology.

The Louisiana Economic Development department is offering an incentive package that includes a $10 million performance-based grant for infrastructure and facility improvements. Cohen Guidry of the Terrebonne Economic Development Authority explained that these incentives are tied to specific performance milestones, stating, “They’ve got milestone targets they have to hit per time frame and number of jobs.”
