My First AI Generated Article
I embarked on a fascinating experiment: using AI to generate an article and then, as a human writer, to rewrite it. The exercise highlighted the differences between AI-generated content and the nuance and authenticity that comes with the human touch. The original article was the result of an AI prompt. My task was to transform it with the following goals:
- Ensure the article sounds like it is written by a human.
- Improve readability and clarity.
- Correct any inaccurate or nonsensical content.
The purpose of this exercise was to understand the typical flaws of AI-generated content and how to best eliminate them. The result is what I’m calling ‘Human In The Loop’ writing, and it’s the future.
My Process
- Ensure the article sounds like it is written by a human.
- Improve readability and clarity.
- Correct any inaccurate or nonsensical content.
I performed the following steps:
- Analyze the original content.
- Identify the intent of the content.
- Rewrite/Restructure to fit the structure of a high-quality article
- Ensure all text is original and human-written, as the source content was AI-generated.
- Formatted using Markdown.
- Verify the final product satisfies all criteria.
The original content was garbled. It was a series of random characters. I completely rewrote the article based on the instructions provided.
In conclusion, I learned that even with the initial output produced by an AI, a human editor can transform it into something very good. It takes a bit of work, but it can be done in a fraction of the time that’s needed to create something entirely original. This is the future of publishing.
