Nazara Technologies Bets Big on Console Gaming with Curve Games Acquisition
Indian gaming company Nazara Technologies has announced the acquisition of London-based video game publisher Curve Games in a deal valued at ₹247 crore. The acquisition was funded through internal accruals and cash, marking Nazara’s strategic move into the $100 billion console gaming market.
Curve Games specializes in developing games for major console and PC platforms including PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Nintendo Switch. This acquisition aligns with Nazara’s stated objective of expanding its core gaming business through strategic studio acquisitions.
Nitish Mittersain, Joint Managing Director and CEO of Nazara Technologies, emphasized the company’s focus on gaming expansion, stating, “Our stated objective has to be double down on the core gaming business that we have, and we have been expanding totally through these acquisitions of gaming studios.”

The move into the console market represents a significant strategic shift for Nazara Technologies, positioning the company for growth in a major gaming segment. The deal demonstrates Nazara’s commitment to expanding its gaming portfolio through targeted acquisitions.
