Taiwanese Tech Firms to Participate in Nvidia GTC
Taipei, March 17 (CNA) – More than 20 Taiwanese technology companies are exhibiting at the Nvidia GTC (GPU Technology Conference) in San Jose, California this week, hosted by the American tech giant Nvidia Corp. This event brings together developers, engineers, researchers, inventors, and IT professionals with a focus on artificial intelligence, computer graphics, data science, machine learning, and autonomous machines.

Several of the Taiwanese companies will be participating as exhibitors or sponsors. Among these are Asus, Hon Hai, Quanta Cloud Technology, and Delta. These firms have achieved second-level “Diamond Sponsor” status, according to the Nvidia GTC website. The event also lists six top-tier Elite Sponsors, none of which are Taiwanese companies.
Hon Hai, also known as Foxconn, significantly increased its presence at Nvidia GTC. The company will showcase advancements in frontier artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, Digital Twins technology, healthcare robotics, and the GB200 server system. The server system was designed in collaboration with Nvidia.
Other Taiwanese companies will be participating as Gold and Silver Sponsors. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.(TSMC) is listed as an A La Carte exhibitor. TSMC provides semiconductor chips to Nvidia according to the event website.
Some Taiwanese companies attended a presentation held Saturday before GTC by the American venture capital firm Plug and Play Tech Center. The Taiwan Next Foundation led the participating firms which included MetAI, part of Nvidia’s inception program. MetAI showcased its latest developments in Digital Twins technology.
This year’s conference includes the GTC Night Market, reflecting Nvidia’s Taiwan-born CEO Jensen Huang’s heritage. Huang, a fan of Taiwan night markets, has enlisted 20 food vendors and artisans in San Jose to participate in the GTC Night Market. Huang is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the conference on Tuesday.
This year’s Nvidia GTC, held at the San Jose Convention Center from March 17-21, has over 1,000 sessions, more than 400 exhibits, and multiple interactive networking sessions.
