Transforming Community Cardiac Care through Innovation

Williamson Health, an independent nonprofit health system serving Williamson County, Tennessee, is revolutionizing cardiovascular care in the heart of its community. In partnership with Philips, Williamson Health is expanding access to advanced cardiac care by focusing on smart solutions, seamless workflows, and better care for more people.

“With Philips, we’re delivering top-tier treatment to patients where they live, work, and raise their families,” says Phil Mazzuca, CEO of Williamson Health. “Advanced cardiac care shouldn’t be confined to major cities or require long drives.”

The newly expanded Cardiac Center at Williamson Medical Center is powered by Philips’ latest image-guided therapy and informatics solutions, including Azurion, Cardiovascular Workspace, and Philips Hemo. These technologies are transforming both how and where care is delivered, enabling Williamson Health to manage complex cases locally and reduce unnecessary patient transfers.

“Technology is transforming more than just the procedure room – it’s expanding access to advanced care across our community,” Mazzuca explains. The integration of Philips Hemo with IntelliVue X3 allows for tableside control of hemodynamic monitoring during procedures, creating a smoother care experience for patients.

Philips Cardiovascular Workspace provides a consolidated view of patient data, including cardiovascular imaging, helping physicians deliver care more efficiently. This partnership demonstrates how world-class care can be delivered locally without compromising clinical quality or patient experience.

The collaboration between Williamson Health and Philips is rooted in shared goals: expanding access, improving efficiency, and enhancing patient experience. “Technology on its own isn’t the solution,” notes Jeff DiLullo, Chief Region Leader at Philips North America. “It has to be thoughtfully implemented and aligned with frontline care realities.”

This partnership positions Williamson Health to take on more complex cases, work more efficiently, and deliver a patient experience rooted in innovation and compassion. As healthcare continues to evolve, this collaboration reflects a forward-looking investment in equitable, scalable healthcare built to grow alongside the community it serves.
