Perplexity AI Launches Rs 1 Crore Contest for Indian Cricket Fans
Perplexity AI, the AI platform headed by CEO Aravind Srinivas, is offering Indian cricket enthusiasts a chance to win a substantial prize during the ICC Champions Trophy final. The grand prize includes a whopping Rs 1 crore and a trip to San Francisco, California, to meet the Perplexity team. This contest follows Perplexity AI’s previous successful “Million Dollar Question” campaign during the Super Bowl.
How to Enter the Contest
To participate, individuals must ask questions on the Perplexity AI platform. The contest runs from March 8th at 11:30 AM IST until the end of the match. Participants can submit multiple entries; each question asked on the platform counts as an entry, with a limit of ten entries per person. Interestingly, CEO Aravind Srinivas encouraged participants to offer “wrong answers only” to the question, “What will you do with 1 crore if you won the Perplexity contest during the Champions Trophy final?”
“We’re giving away Rs 1 crore and a trip to SF to meet the Perplexity team during the ICC Champions Trophy final!” said the company in a social media post on X (formerly Twitter).
The contest is open to new and existing Perplexity accounts. Questions must be asked using the Perplexity app. Participation requires legal residency in India, and entrants must be 18 years of age or older.
The Grand Prize Details
The winner of the contest will receive a cash prize of Rs 1 crore, along with a four-day, three-night trip to San Francisco, USA. The trip includes business class airfare and hotel accommodations. The winner is responsible for travel to and from the airport, as well as all food, beverages, and incidental expenses during the trip. The company also has a stipulation that states if the winner cannot travel to San Francisco within six months of being notified, the trip portion of the prize will be forfeited.
