Piccadilly Software Group, a Kansas City-based startup, has experienced significant growth over the past year, expanding its workforce from a handful of employees to 15. This rapid expansion has brought both challenges and opportunities, according to co-founder Abe Dick. The company has recently moved to a new 6,400-square-foot office space in the Wonder Hub building at 1607 Oak St., a location that Dick describes as ideal for their growing team.
Company Growth and New Office
The new office space is expected to accommodate the company’s future growth, allowing them to expand their operations in the heart of the city. “Piccadilly Software Group has grown significantly in the past year, and we now have the room we need to accommodate future growth,” Dick said. “The Crossroads is an ideal location for our new headquarters. This is where our current and future team members want to be, and we look forward to rapidly expanding our organization in 2025 and beyond.”
TEQ Connect Platform
The company’s flagship product, TEQ Connect, is a SaaS platform designed to help human resources managers in manufacturing and skilled trades accelerate hiring, enhance retention, and increase productivity. The platform has already seen significant success, including a $9 million contract supporting the Office of the U.S. Secretary of Defense’s submarine industrial base initiatives. This project involves providing TEQ Connect to defense contractors to help them quickly identify and hire qualified candidates, thereby boosting worker retention in the national defense industry.

Addressing Industry Needs
The U.S. Navy’s need for highly skilled workers to support its submarine program highlights the importance of TEQ Connect. According to Ray Dick, CEO and co-founder, the Navy requires three new nuclear-powered submarines annually for the next decade, a task that demands an estimated 140,000 highly skilled workers. “Using TEQ Connect, military contractors can quickly identify and hire the ‘best fit’ employees they need to fulfill their missions and keep America strong,” he explained.
