Prolight + Sound 2025 is gearing up for a significant milestone: its 30th anniversary. Scheduled to take place in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from April 8 to 11, 2025, the event will bring together manufacturers, decision-makers, technicians, and creative professionals to explore the latest developments in event and entertainment technology.

This year’s Prolight + Sound will feature a comprehensive showcase of new technologies. In addition to the newest innovations, the event will shine a spotlight on key themes such as sustainable concepts, immersive experiences, and advancements in theater and stage technology.
Three Decades of Industry Leadership
For the past three decades, Prolight + Sound – formerly known as Musikmesse Frankfurt – has solidified its position as a leading international trade fair. The event consistently presents a wide array of innovative products and solutions. Many prominent exhibitors have already confirmed their participation, including well-known names such as Adam Hall, Ayrton, Clay Paky, Elation, MA Lighting, RCF, and Robe.
This anniversary event will incorporate new formats, exclusive educational opportunities, and enhanced networking events designed to foster interaction between industry professionals and emerging talent.
Key Themes and Areas of Focus
The 2025 show will revolve around three main themes: ProGreen, FutureScapes, and Theatre & Stage Technology.

InEar will be present at the Silent Stage, showcasing innovative monitoring solutions. The ProAudio College, in a collaborative effort with the German Association of Audio Engineers (VdT), offers high-level workshops dedicated to the most recent advancements in the live and studio sectors. The MixLab, combining live and studio technology, will provide interactive insights for sound enthusiasts.
In addition to audio and lighting, Prolight + Sound will incorporate content in image and video technology. The Image Creation Hub, a cooperative effort with the German Association of Television Cinematographers, serves as a central meeting point for industry experts from the film and broadcasting sectors. Hands-on workshops will provide participants with the opportunity to learn about cutting-edge camera technologies and image processing methods.
Sustainability, AI, and the Anniversary Celebration
