Ralliant Corporation Chooses Raleigh for New Headquarters, Adding 180 Jobs
RALEIGH, N.C. — Ralliant Corporation, a global technology company, will establish its headquarters in North Carolina’s Wake County, creating 180 new jobs. Governor Josh Stein’s office announced the news on Tuesday. The company, which provides precision technologies across various industries, will invest $2.1 million in the North Hills area of Raleigh.
Ralliant is slated to become an independent public company upon its planned separation from Fortive Corporation by the third quarter of 2025, according to the Governor’s office.
“Raleigh is an ideal location with its strong high-tech research presence, top universities, skilled workforce, and proximity to our operating companies,” Ralliant President and CEO Tami Newcombe stated. “We are excited to build our future here, driving breakthroughs, empowering progress, and shaping what’s next.”
Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley added, “Ralliant’s decision to establish its headquarters in Raleigh reflects the city’s dynamic economy, highly skilled talent pool, and outstanding quality of life. Our state’s strengths in data analytics and IT product development, along with our world-class universities and research institutions, provide the deep pool of talent companies need to succeed.”
The new positions offer an average salary of $189,479, significantly higher than Wake County’s average wage of $76,643. The new jobs are projected to bring an annual payroll impact exceeding $30 million to the community, as stated by the Governor’s office.
To help facilitate the project, a Job Development Investment Grant (JDIG) has been approved. This grant authorizes the company’s potential reimbursement of up to $2.63 million over a 12-year period. During this grant term, the project is projected to boost the state’s economy by over $975 million. The projected return on investment for public funds is 195 percent, meaning the state stands to gain $2.95 in revenue for every dollar potentially spent.
The JDIG agreement also includes a provision for transferring $876,750 to the state’s Industrial Development Fund. These funds support infrastructure improvements in rural communities to attract future business. Wake County is classified as Tier 3 under the state’s economic tier system.
State Senator Jay Chaudhuri commented, “We’re excited to see a sophisticated technology company like Ralliant select Raleigh and Wake County for their world headquarters. Their confidence in our region is well founded, and we look forward to seeing their company put down roots and grow in the Research Triangle area.”
State Representative Tim Longest added, “I’d like to thank the many local, regional, and state economic development organizations that worked together to support Ralliant while they evaluated our area. Companies appreciate seeing this level of collaboration, which will continue as the company takes the next steps in establishing its headquarters in Raleigh.”
