RALEIGH, N.C. – Ralliant Corporation, a global technology company, will establish its headquarters in Wake County, creating 180 jobs in North Carolina, according to an announcement made Tuesday by Governor Josh Stein’s office.
The company, which provides precision technologies across various industry sectors, plans to invest $2.1 million in the North Hills area of Raleigh. Ralliant is scheduled to become an independent public company following its separation from Fortive Corporation, anticipated by the third quarter of 2025.
“Raleigh is an ideal location due to its strong high-tech research presence, top universities, skilled workforce, and proximity to our operating companies,” stated Ralliant President and CEO Tami Newcombe. “We are excited to build our future here, driving breakthroughs, empowering progress, and shaping what’s next.”
Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley added, “Ralliant’s decision to establish its headquarters in Raleigh reflects the city’s dynamic economy, highly skilled talent pool, and outstanding quality of life. Our state’s strengths in data analytics and IT product development, along with our world-class universities and research institutions, provide the deep pool of talent companies need to succeed.”
The new positions are projected to have an average salary of $189,479, considerably higher than Wake County’s average wage of $76,643. These jobs are expected to generate a significant annual payroll impact for the community, exceeding $30 million, based on information provided by the governor’s office.
The project will be supported by a Job Development Investment Grant, which could potentially reimburse the company up to $2.63 million over 12 years. The state’s economy is estimated to grow by more than $975 million during the grant’s 12-year term. The anticipated return on investment for public funds is 195 percent, meaning the state is expected to receive $2.95 in state revenue for every dollar of potential cost.
The Job Development Investment Grant agreement also stipulates that $876,750 will be allocated to the state’s Industrial Development Fund. This fund supports infrastructure improvements in rural communities to attract further business. Because Wake County is classified as Tier 3 by the state’s economic tier system, the contribution to the fund is mandatory.
State Senator Jay Chaudhuri commented, “We’re excited to see a sophisticated technology company like Ralliant select Raleigh and Wake County for their world headquarters. Their confidence in our region is well founded and we look forward to seeing their company put down roots and grow in the Research Triangle area.”
State Rep. Tim Longest expressed his appreciation, “I’d like to thank the many local, regional, and state economic development organizations that worked together to support Ralliant while they evaluated our area. Companies appreciate seeing this level of collaboration, which will continue as the company takes the next steps in establishing its headquarters in Raleigh.”
