Ralliant Chooses Raleigh for New Headquarters, Bringing Hundreds of Jobs
RALEIGH, NC – Industrial technology company Ralliant has announced plans to establish its headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina, a move that will create 180 high-paying jobs by 2029. State economic development officials confirmed the news on Tuesday, highlighting the project’s potential to significantly boost the state’s economy.
State officials estimate that the project could add nearly $1 billion to North Carolina’s economy. Ralliant is a division of Fortive, an industrial technology conglomerate based in Everett, Washington. The company’s expertise lies in producing precision technologies for the aerospace, defense, and space sectors.

The company is currently considering various office locations within Raleigh, but has not yet finalized its plans. The announcement comes ahead of Ralliant’s expected transition into an independent, publicly traded company.
“Raleigh is an ideal location with its strong high-tech research presence, top universities, skilled workforce, and proximity to our operating companies,” said Tami Newcombe, Ralliant’s president and CEO, in a statement. “We are excited to build our future here—driving breakthroughs, empowering progress, and shaping what’s next.”
The new positions are expected to offer an average annual salary of $189,479, which is more than double the average salary for private-sector jobs in Wake County, according to data from the North Carolina Department of Commerce.
The state has approved incentives totaling up to $3.5 million, which includes a jobs grant of up to $2.6 million disbursed over 12 years. The company will only receive these funds if it meets specific hiring, investment, and job retention targets. Ralliant plans to invest approximately $2.1 million as part of the agreement.
North Carolina Commerce Secretary Lee Lilley highlighted the significance of Ralliant’s decision, citing the state’s strong talent pool and quality of life. The project is projected to increase the state’s gross domestic product by up to $976 million over the grant’s period.
“Our state’s strengths in data analytics and IT product development, along with our world-class universities and research institutions, provide the deep pool of talent companies need to succeed,” Lilley stated.
Ralliant also considered a location in Oregon before selecting Raleigh for its headquarters.
