RingCentral, a cloud-based communications platform provider, has appointed Antonio Nucci as its chief artificial intelligence officer. The announcement was made through a LinkedIn post on Wednesday.
Nucci, a veteran technology industry leader, expressed his enthusiasm about leveraging agentic AI to enhance business communications. In an interview with RingCentral’s website, he stated that one of his top priorities is to “drive elevated experiences in business communications” by utilizing agentic AI tools.
“We at RingCentral are uniquely positioned to deliver a unified agentic AI platform that powers specialized digital agents,” Nucci said. “I’m excited about the capabilities of agentic AI to leverage multiple modes of conversation to enhance productivity, streamline collaboration, and improve interactions.”
The newly appointed chief AI officer highlighted several key factors that companies should consider when integrating AI into their operations. These include data readiness, digital infrastructure, interoperability, and workforce transformation.
Before joining RingCentral, Nucci served as chief technology officer at Aisera. His previous roles include CTO at Cisco, vice president and chief data scientist at Symantec, and senior director of technology at Boeing’s intelligence and analytics business. Nucci has also held tech leadership positions at Narus and Sprint.
With extensive experience in AI, enterprise technology, and security, Nucci has advised on national security matters and has a strong background in research and development, engineering, and customer engagement. He has co-authored six books, published over 100 papers, and holds nearly 100 patents. Nucci earned his doctorate in computer software engineering from Politecnico di Torino in Italy.
