Roper Technologies has agreed to acquire healthcare technology company CentralReach from Insight Partners for around $1.65 billion, as announced on Monday. This strategic move follows Roper’s previous acquisitions of two cloud-based software providers in the last year.
Roper’s CEO, Neil Hunn, emphasized that CentralReach aligns perfectly with the company’s acquisition criteria. He also highlighted CentralReach’s potential for accelerated organic growth and margin expansion under Roper’s long-term strategy. “CentralReach has a clear niche market leadership and a high recurring revenue mix,” Hunn added.
Roper specializes in creating specialized software and tech-driven products for various sectors, including healthcare, law, and data analytics. CentralReach is projected to contribute approximately $175 million to revenue and $75 million in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) for the year ending June 30, 2026.
CentralReach offers a software and services platform designed to assist therapists who work with children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and related intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Last year, Roper expanded its portfolio with the acquisitions of Procare Solutions and Transact Campus, both cloud-based software providers. Procare provides software solutions for managing early childhood education centers, while Transact Campus serves higher education institutions.
Earlier this year, Roper projected an annual revenue growth exceeding 10%, surpassing analysts’ average estimate of 9.6%, according to data compiled by LSEG. The transaction is anticipated to close in either April or May 2025, and Roper’s shares saw a 1.1% increase in early trading.
