Royal Philips and March of Dimes Launch Collaboration to Enhance Maternal Health Education

Royal Philips, a global leader in health technology, and March of Dimes, the leading nonprofit organization fighting for the health of all mothers and babies in the United States, have announced a significant collaboration. The partnership aims to improve maternal health education through the Philips Avent Pregnancy+ app.

The Philips Avent Pregnancy+ app will now integrate essential content from March of Dimes to enhance health literacy among expectant mothers. This collaboration will focus on critical topics such as preparing for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) stay, understanding preterm birth, and the importance of vaccinations during pregnancy.

“Our partnership with March of Dimes reflects our shared commitment to ensuring that families have access to trusted, timely information throughout pregnancy,” said Letty ten Brinke, Philips Avent General Manager. “By combining our expertise and resources, we aim to deliver accessible education and insights that support healthier outcomes for mothers and babies.”

The March of Dimes content will cover various aspects of pregnancy, including low-dose aspirin during pregnancy, preterm birth prevention, and pregnancy complications. The app will provide valuable information and guidance to help expectant parents feel more prepared and confident throughout their pregnancy journey.

The Philips Avent Pregnancy+ app has been downloaded over 1 million times worldwide and offers a comprehensive pregnancy tracker, week-by-week updates, and expert advice. With the new March of Dimes content, the app will become an even more valuable resource for expectant parents.

“As we continue to seek solutions to address maternal health challenges, initiatives like this can contribute to meaningful change,” said Dr. Brenna Van Wyk, March of Dimes Associate Vice President of Research and Analytics. “By combining our expertise with Philips Avent, we aim to deliver accessible education and insights that support healthier outcomes for all families.”

This collaboration represents a significant step forward in improving maternal health education and support for expectant parents. By leveraging their combined expertise and resources, Royal Philips and March of Dimes are working together to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of mothers and babies worldwide.
