Sanlayan Technologies Secures INR 186 Cr Funding to Boost Indigenous Defence Technology

Sanlayan Technologies, a defence technology startup founded in 2023, has successfully raised INR 186 Cr in a funding round led by prominent investors including Ashish Kacholia, cofounder of Hungama Digital, Lashit Sanghvi, cofounder of Alchemy Capital, and Singapore-based Jungle Ventures.

The funding will enable Sanlayan to significantly expand its engineering team, with plans to increase its headcount fivefold within the next six months. The company has been actively recruiting defence experts, R&D scientists, and retired army veterans to bolster its capabilities in designing and manufacturing advanced electronic systems. These include radar systems, electronic warfare technology, and mission-critical communications equipment.

Sanlayan’s focus on indigenous defence technology aligns with the growing demand for domestic innovation in the sector. By developing cutting-edge electronic systems, the company aims to contribute to the enhancement of national security capabilities.

The funding round reflects investor confidence in Sanlayan’s potential to make significant strides in the defence technology space. With its strong backing and ambitious growth plans, Sanlayan is poised to play a crucial role in advancing India’s indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities.
