
Sebastian Cubela, a partner at McKinsey based in the Miami office, is a key advisor to global telecommunications and technology companies. He helps these organizations leverage their data to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced analytics into every business decision.
Cubela’s work focuses on addressing the most significant data and analytics challenges faced by telecom operators worldwide. He assists executives in evaluating their current standing from an external perspective and assessing the value of future opportunities. This includes leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
His approach involves:

- Architecting end-state solutions that capitalize on AI and data analytics.

Beyond client service, Cubela is actively involved in McKinsey’s North America Hispanic Latino Network. This network provides a platform for consultants and Hispanic/Latino leaders to connect, build a community, and advance their professional development.
Cubela joined McKinsey in Buenos Aires in 2013 and has also worked in the Stamford and Miami offices. He has developed deep expertise in data and analytics through his work with major telecommunications companies across markets in South America, Central America, and North America.
Prior to McKinsey, Cubela worked as a research assistant for the World Bank in Washington, DC, and as an international arbitration analyst for Compass Lexecon in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Cubela earned an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidad del CEMA.
