SHARP Literacy Announces Annual Fundraiser Featuring CodeBaby CEO
Milwaukee, WI – SHARP Literacy is gearing up for its annual fundraising event, “A Novel Event,” slated for Wednesday, October 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Pfister Hotel, located at 424 E. Wisconsin Ave. This year’s event, presented by Andrea and Jim Schloemer, will spotlight the organization’s innovative partnership with CodeBaby, aiming to enhance STEAM-based learning for students.
The event’s highlight will be a keynote presentation by Norrie Daroga, CEO of CodeBaby. Attendees will learn about the merging worlds of AI, 3D animation, and avatars that will come to life. Furthermore, three students from SHARP, aged 9-10, will demonstrate avatars they created through the program and participate in live instructional content activities.
“In partnership with CodeBaby, we are taking our award-winning curriculum to the next level and empowering our students to explore the world of technology in a whole new way,” said Lynda Welsh, president and CEO of SHARP Literacy.
SHARP Literacy’s collaboration with CodeBaby seeks to make STEAM education more interactive and engaging for underserved students, utilizing 3D avatars to enhance the learning experience. Welsh expressed the organization’s hope of inspiring students and providing them with practical skills to excel in and out of the classroom.
