CHICAGO, March 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Sibel Health, a leading medical technology firm, has announced the successful closing of a $30 million Series C financing round. The Steele Foundation for Hope spearheaded the investment, with significant participation from Dräger. This funding, coupled with the company’s seventh FDA 510(k) clearance, is poised to accelerate the commercial deployment of Sibel Health’s advanced monitoring platform, ANNE® One.
“Given the very challenging financing environment, we are ecstatic to see our existing investors fund our entire round given their confidence in our product roadmap and growth trajectory,” said Steve Xu MD, cofounder and CEO of Sibel Health.
The ANNE® One platform, a wireless, wearable system for monitoring vital signs in patients aged 12 and older, is enabled by advanced clinical-grade wearable sensors. This new funding round coincides with the device’s latest FDA 510(k) clearance, which enables alarms and alerts along with a sophisticated central monitoring station.
Sibel Health’s technology stands out due to its adherence to the IEEE SDC 11073 standard. This standard promotes open and secure communication between medical devices.
“We are especially proud of the fact that our sensors are FDA-cleared under the IEEE SDC 11073 standard, which supports open and secure communication between medical devices replacing traditional proprietary networks. Interoperability is the future and our hospital partners are increasingly demanding it,” stated Jong Yoon Lee, CTO and cofounder of Sibel Health.

Dräger, an international leader in medical and safety technology, is invested in the medical technology field with Sibel Health. Toni Schrofner, Chief Officer Medical Division at Dräger and Sibel board member, highlighted the significance of the collaboration, saying, “We are pleased to further strengthen the cooperation between Dräger and Sibel through this investment. The possibility to integrate wireless, wearable sensors into the digital acute care ecosystem via the new connectivity standard ISO/IEEE 11073 SDC is an important milestone towards the future of patient monitoring along the entire patient care journey.”
In a further development, Northwestern Medicine has integrated Sibel Health’s systems, purchasing the ANNE® One platform to assess enhancements to nursing workflow and patient sleep quality using wireless sensors. This application reflects the platform’s versatility and promise in improving patient care within hospital settings.
Prior to this recent announcement, Sibel Health had successfully secured a $17.5 million grant from the Gates Foundation in early 2024 and, later in the year, was selected by the Capital Region of Denmark, in partnership with Dräger Denmark, to provide continuous wireless monitoring across multiple hospitals in the Copenhagen area.
