Sofigate, a company dedicated to sustainable transformation through business technology, has embraced the potential of Generative AI to reshape its operations and better serve its clients. Guided by its principle that “Business is technology, and technology is about people,” Sofigate began implementing Microsoft Copilot in 2023 to foster innovation and strengthen its ability to assist its customers.
Based in Helsinki, Sofigate supports business and technology leaders in their digital transformations through a team of over 700 certified Business Technology experts spread across Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Hungary, and Poland. This widespread presence allows Sofigate to assist businesses in adapting rapidly to technological advancements. Finland, in particular, has shown a high rate of Microsoft Copilot adoption, signifying a strong digital preparedness and interest in AI solutions.
Juho Nevalainen, Executive CTO at Sofigate, noted that “Now the market is changing and each company is looking for their own gen-AI strategies. They really need a forerunner to help them with this – and we need to be that forerunner.”
Mikko Saari, VP BT Integrator at Sofigate, emphasized the company’s proactive approach to AI, stating, “Sofigate wants to be at the forefront of AI…And Copilot is one of the biggest changes in the market. If you’re not leveraging this, you’re out of the game.”
To successfully integrate Microsoft 365 Copilot within its operations, Sofigate partnered with Atea Finland, a major IT solutions provider in Northern Europe. Atea’s support and deployment framework played a critical role in guiding and streamlining Sofigate’s adoption of Microsoft Copilot.
User reception of Microsoft Copilot has been overwhelmingly positive, with the tool quickly gaining traction across the Sofigate team. Jussi Vuokko, Senior Advisor at Sofigate, shared that “So far we have more than 500 users in our organisation…People are leveraging Copilot daily for customer assignments and activities.”
Staff are exploring the practical applications of Copilot to determine how it can best enhance their workflows. Olivia Frӓnti, Business Executive BCM and Agile Excellence at Sofigate, shared an example of Copilot’s utility, saying, “I quite often use the prompts ‘rephrase’, ‘create’, ‘give me new ideas’, ‘shorten’ and ‘make this easier’. So Copilot is freeing time and making everything much more efficient.”
The positive effects of Microsoft Copilot adoption underscore Sofigate’s proficiency in supporting its customers in accelerating their digital transformations. As Mikko Kalenius, Head of Productivity at Atea Finland, concluded, “At the moment our imagination is the limit to using AI.”
