South Korea’s conservative presidential candidates have failed to reach an agreement on unifying their bids, maintaining Lee Jae-myung’s position as frontrunner with the election campaign on the horizon. Former acting leader and current presidential hopeful Han Duck-soo met with People Power Party nominee Kim Moon-soo on Wednesday evening to discuss a potential unification of their campaigns. The goal would be to consolidate conservative voters and prevent a split in the vote against Lee, the main opposition Democratic Party’s candidate. Han has vowed to create a new ministry focused on artificial intelligence if elected.
