Tech Company Grows with Software Firm Deal
TXP, a Midlands-based technology consulting and development firm backed by Aliter Capital, has expanded its operations through the acquisition of Newcastle-based software company Metatech Solutions. The deal, completed for an undisclosed sum, will see Metatech provide IT consulting, development, and people resourcing support to TXP’s diversified blue-chip customer base.
Metatech Solutions, known for its automation apparatus supporting computer-aided software engineering tools, serves clients across various sectors including finance, insurance, healthcare, aviation, and automotive. John Antunes, chief executive at TXP, stated, “This acquisition comes at an ideal time for both businesses. We know the team at Metatech very well, and understand how this deal will broaden our existing capabilities and add significant value to our services.” Antunes emphasized that the specialist know-how from Metatech will be crucial in delivering significant pipeline projects and generating new opportunities.
Andy Scott, director at Metatech, expressed enthusiasm about the future collaboration, saying, “We look forward to working with John and the TXP team in the next phase of the business’ development.” The acquisition marks a significant step in the growth strategy of both companies, combining their expertise to serve their clients more effectively.
