TechShare Project to Host STEM Outreach Event for Newark Youth
NEWARK, NJ — The TechShare Project is set to host a free STEM outreach event at the Newark Public Library’s main branch on Saturday, March 8, from 10 a.m. to noon. This event aims to showcase the potential of technology to inspire and empower underserved youth in Newark.
TechShare approaches STEM education with a focus on the untapped potential within under-resourced communities, recognizing that students bring fresh perspectives and a deep understanding of their communities. Through its mentorship program, TechShare equips teens with valuable technical skills, enabling them to become leaders and changemakers. These young mentors will then share their knowledge by teaching others.
During the upcoming event, attendees can expect to participate in hands-on tech demonstrations and lessons. These will include Arduino microcontroller tutorials, circuitry workshops, coding activities, and explorations of the intersection between art and technology. The local community is welcome to attend and learn from the talented young leaders.
Attendance is limited, and interested participants are encouraged to register early using the provided registration form.
