Teknofest Set to Return to Istanbul in September
Türkiye’s premier technology, aviation, and space event, Teknofest, is scheduled to take place in Istanbul from September 17 to September 21, 2025. This announcement comes after a successful edition of the event in Turkish Cyprus earlier this year.
The event will be held at Atatürk Airport, as stated in a social media post by the Industry and Technology Ministry. Teknofest is known for its diverse range of activities, including competitions, air shows, and innovative tech showcases, which have captivated millions of visitors in the past.
Teknofest follows a pattern of being held in various Turkish cities during even years and in the metropolis of Istanbul during odd years. The event last took place in Adana in 2024, attracting around 1.1 million visitors. In 2023, it was held three times in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir to commemorate Türkiye’s centennial.
Earlier this year, Teknofest was successfully held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) from May 1-4, with an attendance of 225,000 people. The TRNC became the second international host of Teknofest after Azerbaijan, which hosted the event in 2022.
Since its inception in 2018, Teknofest has welcomed nearly 10.7 million people, establishing itself as a significant event in the technology, aviation, and space sectors.
