Trump Shares AI-Generated Gaza Vision, Drawing Criticism
Donald Trump has shared a peculiar AI-generated video on his Truth Social platform, presenting a vision of Gaza under his proposed plan for the region. The footage, which the 78-year-old shared without comment, has drawn a wide range of reactions. The video depicts a transformed Gaza, envisioned as a Middle Eastern paradise.

The video begins by showing the war-ravaged territory, followed by a caption: “Gaza 2025… What’s Next?” The AI then transforms the area into a scene of exotic beaches, Dubai-style skyscrapers, luxury yachts, and lively social gatherings.
Key features of this imagined Gaza include a “Trump Gaza” tower and a massive golden statue of the former US president. Miniature versions of the statue are even available for sale in a souvenir shop within the video. A child appears walking down a street, proudly holding a large golden balloon in the shape of the president’s head.
The video also includes surreal scenes of Trump dancing with a scantily clad belly dancer and sunbathing with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by a resort pool while sipping cocktails.
Elon Musk also makes multiple appearances, including sitting on a beach and dining on hummus with flatbread while bearded belly dancers perform on the sand nearby. The billionaire, who leads X, Tesla, and SpaceX, is also shown throwing dollar bills into the air. A song written for the video plays in the background with lyrics that embrace Mr. Trump’s vision:
“Donald’s coming to set you free, bringing the light for all to see, no more tunnels, no more fear: Trump Gaza’s finally here.”Trump Gaza’s shining bright, golden future, a brand new life.”Feast and dance the deal is done, Trump Gaza number one.”
Sky News has confirmed that this AI-generated video was first shared online in early February by accounts that appear to have no ties to the White House.
The ‘Gaza Riviera’: A Promotional Tool
This “Gaza Riviera” video is designed to sell a proposal that Donald Trump originally sketched out several weeks ago. According to John Sparks, International correspondent for Sky News, Trump described Gaza as “a demolition site” that the US would “take over” and “own.” The plan involves leveling the existing structures and building “the Riviera of the Mediterranean.” The 2.3 million residents of the Gaza Strip would be relocated to Jordan or Egypt. Trump stated, “We just clear out the whole thing.”
While the proposal faces numerous legal, ethical, and practical challenges, Trump has not abandoned his vision. Sparks notes that in the absence of a concrete plan from the current ceasefire agreement, this US president’s invention is what stands out.
Reactions to the Vision
The video has generated a mixed response. Speaking to Sky News’ US correspondent Mark Stone, Gaza resident Oday Basheer said, “It was disturbing to watch… it was disturbing from the moment that Trump announced that he was going to enter Gaza and take it and invest in it.” He added, “This is terrifying and this is terrible.”
In the comments section below the video, one user wrote, “I don’t think that’s funny or cool. Sorry. Am I missing something??? I hope it’s a joke a bad joke..” Another stated, “I hate this. I love our president, but this is horrible.” Some comments, like one that stated, “Mr President while I appreciate what you do, is not about you. To God be the glory and the honor, for without Him, you couldn’t have accomplished anything. The statue is a symbol of the antichrist, please humble yourself to God. Jesus is king and only Him,” expressed religious concerns. Meanwhile, some users focused on domestic issues suggesting, “Can we transform our US cities to look like this 2025 vision first? Our cities are dumps with ugly buildings and homeless people.”
Trump announced his plan for post-war Gaza earlier this year, which includes relocating two million Gazans and transforming the territory into a luxury destination. In light of the plan, Hamas described the proposals as “ridiculous and absurd” in a statement. Similarly, Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia, who support the Palestinian cause, rejected Mr. Trump’s plan.
