The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is set to host a special Tech Launch event on March 4, bringing together prominent artificial intelligence (AI) entrepreneurs from Argentina to share insights into the future of AI and its practical applications in business. The event, scheduled to take place at the Schueck, Lexicon, McCarty Auditorium in the Engineering and Information Technology Building, will feature presentations by experts from Celara, a company at the forefront of AI-powered business transformation.
Marla Johnson, UA Little Rock’s tech-entrepreneur-in-residence, highlighted Celara’s innovative approach, stating, “Argentina is quickly becoming a leader in AI innovation, with companies like Celara driving the future of AI-powered business transformation.” The event will kick off at 1:30 p.m. with a keynote talk titled “Beyond the Buzz: Where AI is Headed in 2025,” presented by Zubair Talib, an AI expert with an MIT background and executive director at Celara Labs.
Dr. Brian Berry, vice provost of research and dean of the Graduate School at UA Little Rock, emphasized the significance of the event, saying, “Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming industries across the globe, and we are excited to bring international experts to campus to share their knowledge with our students, faculty, and business community.” A panel discussion at 3 p.m., titled “Investing in AI,” will delve into AI investment trends and feature Talib alongside Pablo Abdian, CEO and co-founder of Celera Labs.
The event will conclude with a networking reception at 4:30 p.m. at the Windgate Center of Art + Design, where attendees can meet the visiting entrepreneurs, network with industry leaders, and enjoy Argentine wine and refreshments.
