Two well-established event and venue management software companies, Ungerboeck and EventBooking, have announced a merger. With over 50 years of combined industry experience, the union aims to create a powerful suite of tools for event professionals.
According to a joint media release, the merger will provide customers with “an integrated set of capabilities that further enhance the world-class solutions they provide today.” The release also emphasized that the consolidation will result in “expedited technology enhancements and accelerated innovation, while continually focusing on customer success.”
Backed by private equity firm Cove Hill Partners, the newly unified company will be led by Manish Chandak of Ungerboeck as president and CEO, while Steve Mackenzie of EventBooking will serve as executive vice president.
“This is the best way to come out of the pandemic as the industry expects technology-driven efficiencies and new attendee experiences,” Chandak stated. “We found a great partner in Cove Hill Partners, who share our values and mission. Adding EventBooking to this group is the perfect trifecta to accelerate us into the future as the world’s event software.”
Mackenzie added, “Together, we unify our efforts to provide easy-to-learn and powerful products to drive the industry forward, all while we marry the aspects that clients love about each.” He concluded, “And, of course, the biggest focus will always be on service and ensuring we continue to set the standard in this area.”
