Vanta, a leading trust management platform, has been making significant strides in the cybersecurity industry with its innovative approach to governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). The company’s Chief Revenue Officer, Stevie Case, recently shared insights into Vanta’s remarkable growth trajectory during an interview at the RSA Conference in San Francisco.
Transforming Antiquated GRC Processes
Vanta is displacing outdated workflows that have long plagued GRC processes. “Fundamentally, we are displacing these really painful antiquated workflows that power governance risk and compliance,” Case explained. The company is transforming manual processes, such as using spreadsheets and screenshots, into modern, streamlined operations that help customers become audit-ready and compliant.
Remarkable Growth Milestones
Vanta has achieved impressive milestones over the past 18 months, including surpassing $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and securing 10,000 customers across various industries. This growth is a testament to the company’s innovative approach to GRC.
AI-Powered Security Initiatives
A key focus of Vanta’s strategy involves leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance security assessments. The company has launched AI security assessments designed to help businesses build with AI responsibly. “Everybody’s excited about AI, everybody wants to build with it, but it does introduce a certain amount of risk,” Case noted. Vanta is committed to helping customers navigate this risk and has itself achieved ISO 420001 compliance, a standard indicating responsible AI use.
Prioritizing Quality Over Cost Savings
For Vanta, AI implementation is about creating a higher quality experience for customers and enabling its team to focus on high-value work. The company is building an AI builder team within its revenue operations group and hiring a founder in residence to drive AI innovation.
Future Innovations
Vanta has significant AI-related announcements planned for the next several quarters, aiming to make security and compliance more frictionless for customers. The company’s recent $150 million Series C funding round, led by Sequoia Capital, will support these initiatives and further establish Vanta as a leader in automating compliance with critical security frameworks.
As Case concluded, “The GRC space was so ripe for innovation… We’re just getting started.” With its commitment to innovation and customer success, Vanta is poised to continue transforming the GRC landscape.
