Startup acquisitions are experiencing a boom this year, highlighted by the massive $32 billion deal for cybersecurity startup Wiz. This marks the highest price ever for a venture-backed startup and suggests a renewed sense of optimism in Silicon Valley.

According to data compiled by CB Insights, there have been 11 startup sales announced so far this year valued at over $1 billion, totaling $54.5 billion. This figure easily surpasses records for comparable quarterly totals. In contrast, only two startup acquisitions exceeding $1 billion were announced during the first quarter of last year, totaling just $3.2 billion.
